Chief Economist & Director of Policy

Stephen Radley has been EEF’s Chief Economist since January 2000 and Director of Policy since June 2008.

Stephen is responsible for the EEF’s work on the economy and industrial policy.   This encompasses both macro-economic issues such as the state of manufacturing, interest rates, taxation and productivity and competitiveness areas such as investment, skills, trade and innovation.   He is also responsible for the economic analysis relating to EEF’s work on environmental and energy policy.

Since June last year he has had overall responsibility for EEF’s work on representation and information and research.
