Rhydian Pountney is the General Manager for Rest of World sales at Renishaw plc and is responsible for business development in 10 of Renishaw’s overseas subsidiary operations. 

He has recently overseen considerable expansion of the Indian Sales and Marketing operation including establishing an extensive direct sales network and regional offices.

Renishaw is one of the world’s leading metrology and spectroscopy companies and has been honoured with twelve Queen’s Awards recognising Technological and Export Achievement with overseas sales representing 94% of turnover.

Rhydian joined Renishaw in 1979 and has spent much of his working career in Sales & Marketing including spending four years in Hong Kong where he established Renishaw (HK) Ltd and a network of offices in China and the Far East.  Rhydian is a director of 7 Renishaw overseas subsidiary companies which he established and is a member of the Renishaw International Sales & Marketing board.
