Katherine Bennett OBE

Director of Communications and Government Affairs

Katherine joined Airbus in 2004 and became Director of Communications and Government Affairs in April 2007. Her role encompasses managing relationships between Airbus and all parts of government.

She takes the lead on all Public Policy issues affecting the company and ensures that key government and interested stakeholders are kept informed and aware of company developments. Her department manages UK media relations, internal communications to the 10,500 Airbus in the UK employees, corporate responsibility and community relations. She sits on the Airbus in the UK senior management board and splits her time between Airbus sites in Filton and Toulouse and London.

Katherine's previous employment was with General Motors UK where for nearly nine years she also headed up their government affairs function. Her time with GM included a secondment to Detroit, USA. She is a Council Member of the Society of British Aerospace Companies. Katherine was awarded the OBE in June 2004 for services to industry and charity.
