China-Britain Business Council (CBBC)

CBBC is the UK's leading organisation helping British companies do business in China. CBBC delivers a range of practical services to British companies wishing to export goods and services to, invest in, or establish manufacturing under license arrangements with China.

Whilst use of CBBC's services is open to all British registered companies on a pay-as you-go basis, it is also a membership organisation with some 600 British company and individual members. Companies join both for high-level contact and the wide range of practical help that is offered. Over one third of CBBC members are SMEs. For companies serious about developing business in China, CBBC membership provides a cost-effective route to on-going support, networking and exclusive services and discounts.

CBBC is a business led partnership between government and industry with a proven track record of developing British trade in China dating back to the 1950s. CBBC is widely recognised and respected at the highest level of both Chinese and British governments. CBBC organises many useful high-level business events with trade related government ministers from both countries.

Composites UK was founded as the Composites Processing Association in 1989 to represent all levels of the industry in the UK from the smallest one or two man moulder to the largest multinational companies. It will be apparent from the membership list of the association in this edition of the Directory that the association has achieved this aim. Composites UK is still growing and intends to grow for many years to come. Composites UK includes in its membership companies and organisations from all sectors.

The Association runs a series of conferences, workshops, seminars and technical forum on a wide range of industry related subjects.

Engineering Industries Association (EIA)

EIA aims to be at the centre of information, trade and support for the Engineering Industry and was established over 65 years ago. The Association provides information and assistance to the industry combined with effective representation in the global markets. It also organises a UK presence at major overseas events and also arranges trade missions in cooperation with UKTI.
